Thanks for all the replies. It sounds like opinions are mixed. Most of you seem to think Ele's will do just fine as long as we take steps to buff up our armor level beforehand. Others say a squishie is a squishie and has no right to burden others with our squishieness. Sigh

And then there's this post:

1. I can work on that. level 6 and climbing
2. Um, catch 22? Need to know the area to find a group. Can't learn the area if nobody takes ya. This sounds familiar. It's why I wasted 3 months in The Deep waiting area before finally giving up.

So, all you folks willing to take on an Ursan Ele, where are you????? I only seem to find the squishie haters.

You know it's kinda ironic too. I feel that my fire nuker could do much more damage in an 5 Ursan/2 monk group than joining them as a 6th Ursan. Plus, I'd be able to stay in the back behind the bear wall and nuke to my heart's content. However trying to convince an Ursan group to take on a nuker rather than the R10/R8 Ursan Warrior standing over there is impossible.

This isn't true, especially in the high end areas such as doa. Armor ignoring damage is significant. However I think that a Raven blessing mid liner could work well with your standard ursan group. Toss on a zealous spear/shield to go with an el's E-storage. Swoop to help with the spike and shriek to blind the incoming melee. Still doubtful that your standard ursan group would accept any type of change.

Your best bet for finding a group is to raise your norn title and run ursan.

I haven't messed around much with Ursan, but it works great on my assassin, Critical Strikes keeps the energy going.

It's very easy to get 80 armor on an Ele with Prismatic insignia. It's not like you need your attribute points for anything in an Ursan build. Then you only have to go E/W or E/P for a shield, and get yourself a Zealous melee weapon(maybe a spear), and you should be on par with those retard, noob-calling Ursan warriors.

edit: Warrior with Ursan Blessing calling other people "noob" = priceless.

That's sad.
Even though I am kinda against UB, that's just stupid.
Some people know nothing about everything...

Mate, my main character is an Ele, and I'm a better ursan tham most wammo's I've found.

More than once I was the last one standing when a wammo messed up by killing too much titans without waiting for the titan shards to spawn.

But is true that they should change ursan to ignore profession. Monks, ritualsits, mesmers... they get nothing while in Ursan.

Derv's copy Ursan from someone else with Arcane Mimicry, use a God-Form and then activate Ursan.

Ursan of Dwayna = self heal and hex removal ...
